Annual Voyageur Conservation Camp October |
Voyageur Council and Ducks Unlimited are pleased to announce the xxth Annual Green Wing, Scouts Canada Conservation Camp. As usual it will be held at the Upper Canada Bird Sanctuary near Morrisburg Ontario. The camp gives your scout aged youth the opportunity to handle wild ducks at the bird banding station, participate in constructing wood duck and song bird nesting boxes, go on marsh walks, watch as retriever dogs are put through there paces, participate in a formal campfire, participate in the onsite station of Jamboree on the Air, and camp on the shores of the St Lawrence river. Registration is limited to 350 people first come first serve. The camp registration fee is $xx.00 per youth and 2 dollars per person per night. This fee includes a 1-year membership in Ducks Unlimited Greenwing club including a 1-year subscription for the Conservator Magazine. There are door prizes for all youth members and a few door prizes for the adults. We will be including a crest designed specifically for this year’s event. This fee does not include food or indoor lodging. All troops are to camp self contained. There will be other activities run during the weekend to help round out the program.

There is an opportunity this year to come and camp and not participate in the Greenwing portion of the camp. You just pay the $2.00 per person per night and you can participate in Jamboree on the Air and the campfire. The group sites will hold up to 700.
