Scouting began with 20 boys and an
experimental camp
organized by Robert Baden-Powell in 1907.
Today, there are more than 28 million Scouts, girls and boys,
women and men, in 216 countries and territories.
Loyalist Area is part of Voyageur Council, located in Eastern Ontario, Canada. Loyalist is made up of the City of Kingston and portions of the counties of Lennox & Addington, Leeds & Grenville and Frontenac. (see map)
Loyalist has approximately 500 Scouting members meeting at 20 locations across the area. A local property committee manages three camps available to Scouting youth. Major events include: World Brotherhood Camporee, KubKar and Truck Rally, Beaveree, Scout-Guide Week and Scoutrees.
